Suvita Melehy was born in Hong Kong. She earned her law degree from the University of Maryland School of Law in 1995, where she became a member of the Business Lawyer, a premier law journal published by the Business Law Section of the American Bar Association (1993 to 1995). She is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia, Maryland and the Federal Courts in both jurisdictions. Ms. Melehy is one of the Firms’ trial lawyers whose practice is concentrated in pursuing wage and hour cases as well bankruptcy and family law cases.

Ms. Melehy has been practicing law for over 23 years and is a dedicated advocate for workers. She is tireless in her representation of victims of wage theft and other workplace injustices and has their best interest in mind. Her bankruptcy law experience makes Ms. Melehy an invaluable asset in efforts to collect unpaid wages from unscrupulous employers who attempt to avoid paying judgments or who falsely claim that they have insufficient assets to pay their workers. Ms. Melehy’s overall approach is to help clients understand the realities of their cases and craft a strategic road map for maximum success.
